DIOCESAN SANCTUARY OF THE EUCHARISTIC MIRACLE

14th – 17th century

È un imponente edificio in laterizio costruito nel XIV secolo, nella cui versione attuale a predominare è lo stile barocco. La cupola presenta una forma ottagonale e la torre del campanile lo stile bizantino.
All’interno, è custodita la Cappella del Miracolo Eucaristico dove si conservano i resti del miracolo avvenuto nella città di Lanciano nel 1273.

It is an imposing lateritius building constructed in the 14th century, the current version is predominantly Baroque. The dome has an octagonal shape and the bell tower is Byzantine.
In the church there is the Chapel of the Eucharistic Miracle where are kept the remains of the miracle that took place in Lanciano in 1273.
